Pacific Larkspur is situated in the wonderful community of Lancaster. Small-town charm intermingles with big city opportunities in Lancaster, which has a comfortable population of about 120,000. Many awards of excellence have been given to the city from the League of California Cities. Some of the areas in which the city was recognized were youth development, community services, land use and environmental quality.

School districts

Students living at Pacific Larkspur will attend schools in the Antelope Valley Union High School District and the Lancaster School District. There are also numerous private schools in the Lancaster area, providing excellent education, including Henry Herns Charter School, Antelope Valley Christian Schools, and Desert Christian Schools. In addition to the many public and private schools, Lancaster is home to Antelope Valley College, which offers associate degree and certificate programs.

Lancaster Museum of Art History

Arts and culture are an integral part of community life, including local art exhibitions at the Lancaster Museum/Art Gallery and everything from country, jazz and rock to Broadway shows and symphony music at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center. Throughout the year, the center features a number of Arts for Youth programs.


Nature can be enjoyed thoroughly in the scenic Antelope Valley – the California Poppy Festival takes place every year in the Valley. The extraordinary display of wildflowers mixes with the desert grassland to create an amazing mosaic for all to enjoy each spring.
